WETMUSIK MIX UP VOLUME 2 (WETMUSIK) Mixed By Alpharisc & Will E Tell

Billed as an Alpharisc versus Will E Tell mix, Simon Digby as well as the rest of Wetmusik also feature. A departure from R.M.I.T’s Storey Hall, the mix was recorded ‘live’ as part of Braindance at the Forum Theatre. BK & Rhythm Boy start off with a percussion intro (which incidentally may sound familiar to those who experienced their performance at Zouk, Singapore) Carribean drums, laid back funky vibes that soon build up into a melee of beats courtesy of Factory Man’s ‘Left To Right’ and Alpharisc’s ‘Dramatix’.

The mix is injected with some latin flavour courtesy of Ben Simms’ ‘Remanipulation’. Perhaps a result of Alpharisc’s influence over the mix, dark driving melodies dominate the sound. ‘OO’ could well be the soundtrack for a renegade robot, ‘Drive By 2’ is just menacing. Some of the other highlights of the  mix are Alpharisc’s ‘Interesting Dance’ and Linas’ ‘Illkilyah’. Wetmusik delivers an aural barrage like no other, pounding bass lines, driving percussions and rhythm manipulation.
