Starting at about midnight, Simon took over from resident DJ Aldrin for what was to be 3 hours of funky house and techno. Getting the crowd all hyped up, Simon chose DJ Rush’s ‘Freaks On Hubbard’ to signal his start, much to the delight of all.  

Deftness was displayed on the decks as each tune was selected carefully. As they cheered him on, Simon raised the level of intensity. Utilising all four decks and isolators on hand, he built on the energy of the crowd. Cutting the frequencies and tunes. Observed was a packed crowd, totally up-for-it, the podiums never fell short of gyrating beauties and bodies. Hands-in-the-air, smiles on faces. An energetic atmosphere with aural and visual impressions. 

Ben Sims’s ‘Remanipulator’ has become a firm favourite with the techno fraternity. Tonight it was no different. The atmosphere was conducive to the mind and body of dance, techno in particular. Strobe lights flashing in time of the beats and rushes of smoke and air pumped in at interludes. 

Towards the end of the night, Simon’s set was joined by the swift fingers of Maniam on his Egyptian tabla. Serving a touch of tribal enthnic beats to an already pounding set.

 As Simon enjoyed the night, so did those who had come to see him. Tonight techno ruled!
